Print and Slide of The Year
02 April 2008
"Mick Medley with Shirley Boulton and her winning prints"
The Print and Slide of the Year battles for supremacy in the categories of mono prints, colour prints and slides were ably judged by Mick Medley of Liverton. From the interesting and helpful comments made on every entry it was clear that Mr Medley had spent many hours studying all the entries and, as he said, going back and forth before deciding on the winners. The evening proved very successful, and almost a clean sweep, for Shirley Boulton who won both the mono and colour print classes.
The winners on the evening, with the subject in brackets, were:
Mono Prints (26 entries):
1st Shirley Boulton (Music Man)
2nd Shirley Boulton (Jaguar XJ220)
3rd Tony Wilson (Two coffees and a teacake).
Colour Prints (34 entries):
1st Shirley Boulton (The Stairwell)
2nd Tony Wilson (Wet end to the day)
3rd Ken Bradley (Church Pews).
Slides (25 entries):
1st Ken Bradley (Torquay Pier)
2nd Francis Renhard (Lines in the Sky)
3rd Richard Potts (The Bridge).
