A Projected Digital Evening
05 March 2008
Whilst the images were of many different subjects taken in different places at different times, the theme of the presentation was from ‘dawn to dusk’ with one brave member having snatched a shot of on lookers in the Amsterdam red light area. Some images were entirely true to life, others contained subtle digital enhancements whilst some were complete fabrications.
Members were asked to talk about their images explaining why they took the picture and the difficulties experienced and the techniques deployed in producing it. Others then joined in with comment that was of a constructive nature with some friendly banter.
The event was deliberately set up as a none competition evening but, in the event, a straw poll of members selected Paul Lawson’s ‘The Reds over Dawlish’ as a vivid reminder of the evening.
