Dawlish & Teignmouth Camera Club's AGM.

"Paul Lawson hands over to Terry Boulton"
The volcanic dust from Iceland resulted in a reduced attendance at last week’s AGM of Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club. One member was known to be making his way home from Egypt, another from Syria and two from the Channel Islands.
A hardy core of largely long term members did however listen to the officers’ reports. There had been the usual mixture of competitions, external speakers and in house presentations which had been appreciated. There was particular consensus that outgoing Chairman, Paul Lawson, had deployed a relaxed, yet steady hand on the rudder that had lead to an even friendlier atmosphere in the Club during the season.

The following officers were then elected:

Chairman - Terry Boulton;

Vice Chairman - Jon Pitt;

Secretary - Joanne Buddle;

Treasurer- Peter Sillifant;

Programme Secretary - Shirley Boulton;

Competitions Secretary - Terry Boulton;

External Competitions Secretary - Ken Bradley;

Social Secretary - Rosemary Bradley;

Webmaster - Richard Potts.

The post of Press Secretary remains to be filled.

Mac Bouchere and Bob Clowes were elected as Committee Members without portfolio with the following being elected to none committee posts:
Librarian: Frances Renhard, Slide Projectionist: Richard Potts, Digital Projectionist: Jon Pitt and Caterer: Rosemary Bradley.

Whilst some members will be engaged in training and in recording local events in the summer, the Club will next meet at Holcombe Village Hall in mid September.
