Presentation Night

Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club held their annual presentation evening this Wednesday when the guests of honour were Edward and Linda Chorlton.

Mr Chorlton is the Chairman of Exeter City Football Club and, formerly, Deputy Chief Executive at Devon County Council. He is a local resident and was a member of the Club in the 1980s and 90s. He reminisced about those days and admitted to having some reluctance to embrace digital photography at that time. Following retirement from Devon County Council, and having seen the quality of digital work presented at the time of his visit, he admitted that he was reconsidering his view.

Mr Chorlton then went on to present the following awards where founder member, Tony Wilson, and Chairman, Paul Lawson, did particularly well:

Teignmouth Town Shield – Performance in advanced colour prints- Tony Wilson.

Dawlish Camera Club shield – Mono print of the year – Mac Bouchere.

Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club Shield – Colour print of the year – Ernie King.

Next Wednesday, 21 April, the Club hold their AGM at Holcombe Village Hall.
