Barry Mead FRPS, EFIAP, MPAGB Photoshop at Full Throttle.

This Wednesday we were paid a visit by Barry Mead FRPS, EFIAP, MPAGB holder of the RPS Fenton Medal for wildlife photography and digital artistist. I n the first half of the evening he started by showing the club his images of African wildlife. The usual african wildlife big cats, elephants, rhinos and birds brought to life with stunning photography.

Barry Proceeded by taking us on a fantasy trip with his digital art which funds his wildlife work. The digital manipulated work took you on a trip of the imagination through Arthurian legend, gothic mystery, fantasy, and sci - fi. The digital work as been used on posters, cd covers, and books.

The second half of the evening Barry took us on a journey to the Falkland Island, the place is a paradise for bird lovers especially penguins. Barry explained how difficult and expensive it was to get there and he travelled with the RAF from Brize Norton. The night ended with manipulated work he did with images from Sidona in Arizona and African landscapes.
