Print and Projected Image of The year

Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club held their final competition of the season this week when the Image of the Year, under various categories, was selected by Max Danby of Torbay.

In this competition members are invited to submit their two best images taken in various categories since the end of last season. The categories are monochrome prints, colour prints, slides and digitally projected images. This meant a very intensive evening for Mr Danby who made the point that he was looking for some Wow! factor beyond the normal monthly competitions.

In the event he made the following decisions:

Monochrome Prints:
1st Mac Boucherie (Top of the Teign);
2nd Ernie King (Levant Mine);
3rd Ken Holland (Storm Cloud over Dawlish Warren).
A Highly Commended award was given to Bob Clowes.

Colour Prints:
1st Ernie King (Queen of the Savannah);
2nd Mac Boucherie (Slipway Cobbles);
3rd Tony Wilson (A Quiet Corner).
Highly Commended awards went to Terry Boulton, Angela Heale and Jean King.

Slides:
1st Angela Heale (Mettar);
2nd Ernie King (Perspective Huts);
3rd Jean King ( Haytor Quarry).

Digitally Projected Images:
1st Eddie Crawford (Stained Wine Glass);
2nd Mac Boucherie (Sun Lit Island);
3rd Tony Wilson (Shirts).

Next Wednesday the Club meets at Holcombe Village Hall (7.30pm). when Barry Mead, a well travelled nature photographer from Bristol will present some of his images.
